#4th and last day in Barcelona

Maybe 4 posts in a row about the same city are a bit boring, anyway… This will be the last one 🙂

As you know from my previous post the intention was to wake up very very early to be at the Sagrada Familia at a decent time to avoid queues… but of course, coming back so late we didn’t wake up on time, I think I postponed my alarm 5 or 6 times, lol…

We got there around midday, again, and the funny thing is that when we got there we thought, oh wow, no people… we didn’t see that time the queue was on the other side of the church, but the illusion lasted just for few seconds… we realised quite immediately that it was not possible that there was no one there… and then we saw it… a long, long, and long queue, starting from the gate and going until the back of the church… we gave up promising ourselves that we will go back to Barcelona just to see the Sagrada Familia 🙂

So, since our plans were gone, we decided to relax for the rest of the day, so we took a walk to the market La Boqueria, buying baguette with jamon serrano and a fruit salad for lunch and another fruity cocktail (oh, how I miss those cocktails)

…and then we went to the Parc de la Ciutadella and we slept there for a while 🙂 Then we walked around the park and we stumbled into a Japanese just married couple taking pictures, so nice..

After that we wanted to find the Palau de la Musica Catalana, so went towards in and found on our way the Arch of Triumph and after walking and walking and walking we found the Palace, that was closed of course 🙂

Late afternoon again. So back to our hostel, couple of hours of relax and then out for our last Spanish dinner, and of course we couldn’t choose anything else but paella valenciana and sangria. Loved it.
